Will It (Crunch)wrap?

I’ve been obsessed with the @tacobell crunchwrap for a while now but quarantine finally left me bored enough to try and make it myself at home. Turns out it’s pretty simple and now I can’t stop making them. For those interested here’s how I made mine.

the @tacobell crunchwrap copycat recipe

things you'll need:

  • 2 large flour tortillas

  • ground beef (cooked with taco seasoning)

  • sour cream

  • queso (warmed & melty)

  • tostada

  • lettuce

  • tomato (diced)

  • shredded cheese

First, a crunchwrap hack: take a large flour tortilla and using a tostada as a stencil, cut out a smaller, taco sized, tortilla. you’ll use this when you start stacking

The stacking order: your large tortilla, seasoned ground beef, queso, tostada (smeared with sour cream), lettuce, tomato, shredded cheese and finally the taco sized tortilla

Fold up the sides of the larger tortilla onto the smaller tortilla

(I think the official taco bell crunchwrap has 5 folds, but any number will do) and place in a superheated pan for that crispy outside.

Optional: cut in half and photograph

Essential: eat while hot and enjoy

Now, to combat literally turning into a @tacobell crunchwrap, I’ve been turning normal recipes into crunchwraps.

So far I’ve wrapped Hot Chicken Takeover, Panda Express, Bibibop, and breakfast. Lookout for my method with those, coming soon.

I already have some more thoughts, but what do you think? What should I crunchwrap next? Drop suggestions below and together we’ll find out: will it (crunch)wrap?

On the list right now
